The cars on display belong to private collections in Kansas City. We rotate the main gallery every 4-6 months, and the “Drive-in” area every month. Right now, the “Drive-in” area is mostly dedicated to area car clubs. The museum is not owned by an individual, it is a public organization.

We officially opened our door June 2014. However, we started as an organization in 2011 with a grassroots marketing campaign.

The Museum is a 501 (C)(3) not-for-profit charitable organization.

To offer your vehicle for display, please visit https://www.kansascityautomuseum.com/loan.

We do not sell cars. The Museum’s sole purpose is for the education, preservation, and promotion of automotive history.
